RULES

1 The competition is open only to regularly enrolled undergraduates, in colleges and universities of mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, who have not yet received a college degree.
2 A college or university with at least five registered entrants obtains a team rank.One team consists of five individual contestants. There will be contests for teams and for individuals separately.
3 In the first morning there will be the team contest. In the team contest, team members shall discuss to divide problems among themselves in the first half hour. Then each team member works independently on the problems in the remaining two and half hours.
4 There will be individual contest in the remaining one and half days. Contest for each subject shall be last for two and half hours.
5 No collaboration or outside assistance is permitted during the examination for individual contests and for team contests.

DESCRIPTION

The examination will be constructed to test originality as well as technical competence. There will be 5 subjects:
1. 分析与微分方程 (Analysis and Differential Equations)
2. 概率统计(Probability and Statistics)
3. 几何与拓扑 (Geometry and Topology)
4. 应用与计算数学 (Applied Math and Computational Math )
5. 代数与数论 (Algebra and Number Theory)

Detailed syllubuses for each of the directions above shall be provided by the Scientific and Questions committee. There will be five problems in each subject for competition, and each student chose three out of four fields for competition.

SCHEDULE
The first examination will be held on Oct 12 & Oct.13,2010 . The top 15 winners have to take the oral exams on December 14.

EXAM LOCATIONS
Students may take exams at major universities in Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China.
