Abstract： We will introduce the basic idea of Bochner techniques in complex and algebriac geometry, including the following parts:

(1). Geomtry of vector bundles;

(2). Hodge theory on complex manifolds;

(3).  Kodaira-Nakano vanishing theorems and  some generalizations;

(4). L^{2} estimates on certain convex manifolds;

(5).  The exixtence  of  Kahler-Einstein metric.
