" introduction to knot invariants after Jones, II"

This is a part of a series talks by Professor Lin Xiao-song and Dr. Zheng Hao on quatum invariants of knots and its relationship to geometry, especially the volume conjecture.

In this talk, Dr. Zheng will introduce the the related works on  HOMFLY polynomial and their generations. A detailed approach via quantum  group will be presented. Several intrinsic conjectures in this  area will be discussed (including the volume conjecture).
