Abstract: This is an introduction to the colored Jones polynomial via the Kauffman bracket. The Kauffman bracket offers a strikingly simple approach to the Jones polynomial. We will see that, in fact, the Kauffman bracket can be used to obtain more knot invariants than just the Jones polynomial. | ||
