Talk1  Introduction to Hodge theory I

Time:  2:30-4:00 P.M  2015-7-31 Firday

Place: CMS Room 202

Abstract:    This series of talks will be an introduction to the ideas
          of Hodge theory, with goal of understanding of Clemens-Schmid sequence.
             In the first talk, we recall basic definitions and examples of Hodge
          structures. Elementary results from linear algebra, such as weight filtration
          of nilpotent transformation, will also be covered.

Talk2: Introduction to Hodge theory II

Time:  10:00-11:30 A.M  2015-8-1 Saturday

Place: CMS Room 202

Abstract:    This series of talks will be an introduction to the ideas
          of Hodge theory, with goal of understanding of Clemens-Schmid sequence.
             In the second talk, we motivate the ideas of mixed Hodge
          structures and explain how to define mixed Hodge structures to singular or
          non-compact varieties.
         

Talk3: Introduction to Hodge theory III

Time:  10:00-11:30 A.M  2015-8-3 Monday

Place: CMS Room 202

Abstract:    This series of talks will be an introduction to the ideas
          of Hodge theory, with goal of understanding of Clemens-Schmid sequence.
             In the third talk, we discuss monodromy representations and limiting mixed Hodge structures.
          The majority of this talk will devote to concrete examples.
   

Talk4: Introduction to Hodge theory IV

Time:  2:30-4:00 P.M  2015-8-4 Tuesday

Place: CMS Room 202

Abstract:  With preparation of the previous talks, we discuss Clemens-Schmid sequence.
