TITLE: Ideal polyhedra in hyperbolic space

ABSTRACT: Geometrization turns 3-dimensional hyperbolic geometry into an essential aspect of low-dimensional topology. Ideal polyhedra, which can be seen as building blocks for hyperbolic geometry, have a nice deformation space parametrized by dihedral angles. Assuming little background, we will describe this deformation space and how objects degenerate near its boundary.
