abstract: In this talk,I will give a simple introduction to wavelets.Follow the devepment of wavelets,I will present the
motivation of wavelets, MRA( multiresolution analysis)  and Mallat's algorithm.Some examples will be given.In the end ,I will talk about the recent work with my director professor SongLi  about "the convergence of cascade algorithm
with infinitely masks".
