Abstract:

        There has been much interest in obtaining a new proof of the Frankel
conjecture (proved by Mori and Siu-Yau) via the Kahler-Ricci flow. I will
describe a proof of the convergence of the Kahler-Ricci flow assuming
positive bisectional curvature and some stability conditions. This is a
