Prof.
Simon was born at Adelaide, 6 July 1945. He was
educated at University of Adelaide (BSc (hons) 1967,
PhD 1971). 
Prof.
Simon is a world famous mathematician. He made many
contributions to differential geometry, partial
differential equation and geometric measure theory.

The Center of Mathematical Sciences(CMS) at Zhejiang
University , Hangzhou, China,is organizing an
"International Conference on Geometry and Analysis"
in celebration of the 60th birthday of Leon Simon,
and to honor his mathematical contributions
throughout the past 3 decades.The conference will be
held at the Center of Mathematics Science(CMS)
during the period of June 24-26, 2005.
