Introduction to the Course on Topology and Geometry

This is an introduction course on topology and geometry. We will emphasis on the examples which motivate the study.

1. Examples of manifolds, riemannian manifolds, complex manifolds, Lie groups, knots and braids, spaces of constant curvatures, fiber bundles, Riemannian metrics.

2. fundamental groups, covering spaces, homotopy groups and homology.

3. integration on manifolds and De Rham theory.

4. Applications.

The audiences should know point set topology and undergraduate differential geometry.
