简介：Much of Sergei Gukov's current research is in string theory which not only forms the foundation of particle physics, but the associated mathematical reasoning has also furnished a rich field in itself, which has been exceedingly fertile for the development of pure mathematics. Motivated by phenomenological applications, Gukov works on understanding string compactifications on manifolds of reduced holonomy, such as Calabi-Yau four-folds. Sergei Gukov holds his Clay Research Fellowship from July 1, 2001 to June 30, 2006.
